Hand-dyed by my friend, fellow yoga practitioner, and local artist Christa Mares in Cochineal at her family’s sweet and peaceful home in Brush Prairie, Washington. Cochineal is a non-toxic, all-natural dye made out of tiny red insects, originally from Mexico, and is made without chemicals or treated water. Our cochineal comes from the Betancort Gonzales family farm in a charming village named Guatiza in Lanzarote, where the tradition of this tough harvesting process is widely known.
